Who has access to U.S. user data?

Today, only vetted employees of TikTok USDS have access to new U.S. user data, with limited exceptions for things like business metrics or data needed to respond to an emergency situation. We are in the process of irretrievably deleting backups of historic protected data on our own servers and systems—data that predates our move to Oracle in June 2022. Completion of that process will effectively end any access to protected U.S. TikTok data outside of USDS, with limited exceptions to maintain global interoperability of the platform and continue to run our business. Oracle will control the gateways that allow access to the cloud that holds TikTok U.S. user data.
